The switch version is unfortunately far inferior to the other versions. The least they could have done is allow full touch support… but no! They messed it up for no reason. And years later…. They still haven’t fixed it. It was definitely a cash grab.

Now im wondering if korg gadget would be on Nintendos next console.

Not sure if you have children. But the purpose for this on the switch is quite obvious. It's to get kids interested in music. Yes it's EDM stuff and I'm a live musician by trade. But it's fun for kids to play around with. It give an introduction to music production. Creativity. But if this "game" can get my kids to become interested in music, then I'm all for it.

Could I make a 1 hour track, just using a memory card, only using the switch, with no pc. Or is that track time limited?

I'm kinda of nerd with this so I have it as plugins, the switch and IOS. being able to go between all three is great and they are all unique. I agree with other comments I believe the main reason they put it on here is the fan base from the ds-10(+) and dsn-12 but I don't think you were really asking lol. cool video by the way.

Really a shame to be seeing less from you but I absolutely understand the burnout. Complete respect to admit that it isn't fun to do anymore and cutting down. I do hope you can find other creative outlets in the meantime.

I did see the first Guardians movie in theaters and did enjoy my time with it. I've half wanted to see the other two but got hit with Marvel burnout around the time Civil War came out. I've heard that since it's set in space it's a little bit more disconnected so maybe I'll give them a shot some day. Bing Bing Wahoo Lazagna Boy is a bit of a bigger hurdle though.

I’m so into debate of getting it after getting Super Mario RPG for Christmas. But I do love Rhythm Core Alpha 2 because I remember using it when I was a teenager but it wasn’t until last year that I got it again after deleting my old NNID (I transferred all of my DSiWare games onto my 3DS) in favour of a new NNID by accident.

My guess would be most people that have a switch that make music have an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC to transfer it too. At least from the way Korg might have been thinking.

Cool video glad I ran into this. If I have to say what is the point of this. It's to give hardcore Nintendo KORG users a more professional DAW. KORG M01D and Korg dsn-12 are powerful but the stereo out limatations hinder us down and the combination of controller and touch screen is a unique workflow you won't find anywhere else. So the Creator sano decided to port KORG GADGET into switch and I use it way more than the iPad version because I spent the last 12 years getting used to the Nintendo daw workflow. It's a fever dream for me. Also the KORG Nintendo apps were not for the faint of heart, if you have no type of skill your not going to get any good sound out of this, and if your spoiled by PC daws or iPad your work flow is going to suffer, but for Nintendo KORG users who pushed the limit on older software this is light years ahead of what we had to deal with. Also lot of features that KORG GADGET has before existed were made first into Nintendo KORG apps. So when you look at the history of KORG and Nintendo, it makes sense that moving from the 3ds to switch, we need a new music tool like KORG GADGET, or a new version of colors! Live for drawing. But yeah if your want to see what KORG GADGET or the other apps can do you can check my channel out!

Really hope you're able to do whatever's best for you through burn out. I know how rough that can be first hand. I'm not big on shooters myself but all the creativity going into a bunch of indie titles right now makes it seem like a VERY good time to get into them. KillBug seems real neat!

Nice vid. Something I would have mentioned is where these games are in the narrative timeline, though I guess with "Metroid 2", it kind of goes without saying. My favorite Metroid game would probably be Metroid Prime, tied with Super Metroid, which is everyone's favorite for a reason.

Great review. I bought both of these with a friend, we played through and beat Turtles in Time and then its spiritual successor Shredder's Revenge. Both were great, but short 45min runs. You're right the Cowabunga Collection packs alot of extras. Konami did a great job with it.

Good review! I never got into pokemon, and gameplay is number 1 for me, so I instantly gravitated towards shiren the wanderer. If you end up liking shiren 5, you could always try the first game in the series, Shiren 1 for the SNES. (Or the DS remake like you mentioned)
